Washington, D.C., Sep. 5, 2013 -- Craig Fugate introduces America's PrepareAthon (AP) at the workshop on "Building Resilience to Catastrophic Risks through Public-Private Partnerships" at the National Academy of Sciences. AP is a nationwide, community-based campaign for action to increase emergency preparedness and resilience. The Great ShakeOut on October 17, 2013 is the first AP community day of action.
