This information has recently been updated, and is now available. 08/21/2013 12:28 PM EDT Nogales, Ariz. - Three individuals were arrested in separate incidents Friday and Saturday for attempting to smuggle a combined $362,824 in methamphetamine and almost $71,000 in marijuana. A 35-year-old Mexican national, was arrested Friday morning for attempting to smuggle nearly eight pounds of meth through the Port of DeConcini. (more) 08/21/2013 12:28 PM EDT San Diego - U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers on Monday discovered 1,365 pounds of marijuana in a shipment of fish at the Otay Mesa cargo facility and officers at the San Ysidro port of entry found 117 pounds of methamphetamine in the tires of a vehicle. (more) 08/21/2013 12:28 PM EDT Naco, Ariz. - A 26-year-old woman from Mexico was arrested by U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers at the Port of Naco Saturday for attempting to smuggle nearly six pounds of heroin into the United States.Maria Cecilia Ruiz-Garcia was referred for a secondary inspection.
