(July 11, 2013) Shaun Worones, a Newport News Shipbuilding welder, seals the cover to an island landing time capsule aboard the Pre-Commissioning Unit Gerald R. Ford (CVN 78). The capsule contains commemorative items from the ship's commanding officer, Capt. John F. Meier and the ships sponsor, Susan Ford Bales. The event was held in honor of President Gerald R.
