George Washington Manned and Ready with Carrier Air Wing 5 More than 2,000 Sailors assigned to Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 5 embarked the U.S. Navy's forward-deployed aircraft carrier USS George Washington (CVN 73) for its upcoming patrol, June 25. USS Bonhomme Richard Embarks 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit The forward-deployed amphibious assault ship USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6) embarked Marines from the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) in support of joint force operations in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of responsibility, June 25. USS Bonhomme Richard Embarks the 31st MEU Aviation Combat Element The forward-deployed amphibious assault ship USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6) embarked elements of the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit's (MEU) Aviation Combat Element (ACE), June 24.
