A majority of the sex offenders apprehended were previously convicted for sexual assaults against children: rape of a child, sodomy (victim under 10 years) and aggravated sexual battery against a minor under 13. (more) 09/06/2013 05:12 PM EDT Nogales, Ariz. - Six people were arrested recently in multiple smuggling attempts here involving area residents and Mexican nationals. U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers at the Port of Nogales seized marijuana, methamphetamine, heroin and cocaine in a five-day period that, when combined, grossed more than $2. (more) 09/06/2013 05:12 PM EDT Imperial Valley, Calif. - U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers working at the Imperial Valley ports of entry Wednesday discovered more than $645,000 worth of methamphetamine hidden inside a gas tank, and almost $10,000 worth of methamphetamine concealed within the body cavity of a pedestrian border crosser.
