(more) 09/10/2013 12:32 PM EDT Del Rio, Texas - U.S. Border Patrol agents assigned to the Uvalde Station seized $336,000 worth of cocaine Saturday after finding the narcotics hidden in a car.Shortly after 3 p.m. Saturday, a 2003 Pontiac Aztec approached the Highway 90 immigration checkpoint near Uvalde. (more) 09/10/2013 12:32 PM EDT Tucson, Ariz. - Multiple arrests were made recently when Tucson Sector Border Patrol agents stopped smugglers from bringing meth, marijuana and illegal immigrants through the I-19 checkpoint just north of Tubac, Ariz.Last Thursday, agents observed numerous used water bottles in a vehicle containing only a driver and passenger. (more) 09/10/2013 12:32 PM EDT Niland, Calif. - Over the weekend, El Centro Sector Border Patrol and an Imperial County Sheriff deputy saved a couple and their puppy. The couple and their pet had become stranded in chest-deep flood waters after a large wash, located approximately one-half mile north of Hot Mineral Spa Road on Highway 111, had overflowed and caused the vehicle they were traveling in to stall. (more) 09/10/2013 12:32 PM EDT Aguadilla, Puerto Rico - U.S. Customs and Border Protection's Border Patrol and the U.S. Coast Guard interdicted 41 undocumented immigrants, 38 Haitians nationals and 3 Dominican Republic nationals. The 41 undocumented nationals were intercepted early Saturday morning seven nautical miles northwest of Mona Island, Puerto Rico. (more) 09/10/2013 12:32 PM EDT San Clemente, Calif.-U.S. Border Patrol agents thwarted a methamphetamine smuggling attempt at the San Clemente, Calif. checkpoint early Sunday morning. At approximately 8 a.m., agents encountered a 38-year-old male Mexican national driving a 2001 Honda Accord as it arrived at the checkpoint. (more) 09/10/2013 12:32 PM EDT St. Thomas, USVI - U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers seized Thursday nearly 62 kilos (136 pounds) of marijuana concealed in shipping barrels that arrived from California. The marijuana was concealed inside 68 cans of La Choy noodles contained within the barrels.
