FEMA IPAWS invites you to a meeting on Tuesday, September 10, 2013 10:00AM at FEMA HQ in Washington, DC

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) National Continuity Programs (NCP) Integrated Public Alert and Warning System (IPAWS) Division Director, Antwane Johnson is inviting non-profit organizations, private sector Federal, state, local, Tribal, and territorial governments to take part in a strategic discussion to help engage millions of Americans in awareness of Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEA).

WEAs are sent by authorized alerting authorities to WEA-enabled cell phones to warn citizens of impending danger. WEAs have an important role in keeping the American public safe.

Please make your plans now to join FEMA IPAWS at FEMA Headquarters (500 C Street, SW Washington, DC) on Tuesday, September 10, 2013, from 10:00am to noon in Room M01 on a first-come first serve basis. If you are not able to attend in person, you may dial in to 800-320-4330 PIN 247007.
