The forward-deployed amphibious assault ship USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6) and embarked 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) arrived in Darwin, Australia Aug. 28, for a scheduled port visit.

U.S. Sen. Tim Kaine visited Aegis Training and Readiness Center (ATRC) for a familiarization tour Aug. 27.

The Career Intermission Pilot Program (CIPP) is a continuum of service initiative that allows Sailors to take a break from active duty without permanently separating, officials said Aug. 28.
