Guinness World Records has authenticated a Sailor assigned to the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72) has indeed smashed a world record, Aug. 13.

Guided-missile cruiser USS Gettysburg (CG 64) accomplished its 1,000th helicopter landing of 2013 Aug. 16, while conducting maritime security operations in the U.S. 6th Fleet Area of Responsibility.
