GULF OF OMAN (Aug. 23, 2013) Sailors participate in Friday Night Lights on the flight deck of the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz (CVN 68). Friday Night Lights is a morale-boosting light show the air department aboard Nimitz participates in every Friday before the last recovery of the night. The Nimitz Carrier Strike Group is deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility conducting maritime security operations, theater security cooperation efforts and support missions for Operation Enduring Freedom.
