Eisenhower (CVN 69) (IKE) began an ammunition offload Aug. 6 to prepare the ship for an upcoming docked planned incremental availability (DPIA) at Norfolk Naval Shipyard. After back-to-back deployments, USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN69) (IKE) will be headed to Norfolk Naval Shipyard in Portsmouth for some necessary maintenance during a scheduled docking planned incremental availability (DPIA) period.
