Sailors Making Progress Where Synthetic Drugs are Concerned 07/17/2013 12:00 PM EDT The Navy is making progress in the fight against synthetic drug use, but must continue to combat this issue. The number of positive results for synthetic drug in urinalysis tests has decreased significantly since testing began in March 2012. 'Feds Feed Families' Annual Food Drive 07/17/2013 12:00 PM EDT SecNav urges commands to support the 2012 'Feds Feed Families' food drive that runs through Aug. 31. Commands should partner with local area food banks and installation family service centers to participate in this important initiative. Live to Play, Play to Live Summer 2013 07/17/2013 12:00 PM EDT With increased outdoor activity comes an increased need to focus on safety. Navy's summer safety campaign, 'Live to Play, Play to Live Summer 2013,' is a great resource for Sailors and their families. The focus is on private motor vehicles, alcohol awareness, water safety, and sexual assault/suicide awareness. More information is available at: http://www.public.navy.mil/navsafecen/pages/media/seasonal/index.aspx. 9-Digit Zip Codes Mandatory for FPOs 07/15/2013 12:00 PM EDT Effective immediately, family, friends, and businesses sending mail to Navy mobile units must use a nine-digit ZIP code to ensure delivery. The nine-digit ZIP code is required for all classes of mail. Mail not addressed correctly, including mail already en route, will be returned to the sender as undeliverable.
