Detroit - U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Field Operations, announce that on June 28, a federal jury in Port Huron, unanimously found no basis for liability on the part of two CBP Officers, refusing to award any damages to Canadian citizen Loretta Van Beek. (more)

Brownsville, Texas - U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers at the Gateway International Bridge discovered liquid methamphetamines valued at approximately $598,500 concealed within household goods being imported into the country. On June 29, CBP officers at the Gateway International Bridge came in contact with a female driving a black 2010 Honda Civic. (more)

Phoenix, Ariz. - A local man attempted to smuggle $39,100 in unreported U.S. currency into the United States from Angola. On Sunday afternoon, U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers assigned to Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport were conducting inspections of arriving passengers on a British Airways flight referred a 67-year-old man for further inspection. San Luis, Ariz. - Two local residents and a Mexican national who lives in California are in custody in connection with separate failed attempts to smuggle $641,000 in meth and heroin into the United States through the Port of San Luis this weekend.U.S. (more)
