Good Morning,
FEMA’s Integrated Public Alert and Warning System (IPAWS) Program Management Office (PMO) would like to cordially invite you to attend the second webinar of the IPAWS Alert Origination Service Provider (AOSP) Webinar Series on Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at 12:00 PM Eastern Time.
The IPAWS PMO is hosting this webinar series in response to the alerting practitioners’ request to provide more information on current AOSP tools on the market. The IPAWS PMO cannot endorse any alerting tools, but can provide alerting authorities the opportunity to view a demonstration of the alert origination tools and to ask any follow-up technical or operational questions. During the webinar series, each Alert Origination Service Provider will conduct a twenty-minute demonstration of their alert origination tools and detail how these tools meet the four IPAWS minimum requirements:
- Demonstrate successful posting of an IPAWS-conforming Common Alerting Protocol (CAP) alert
- Retrieve message status to verify alert was successfully transmitted to the intended audience
- Demonstrate interoperable CAP exchange with other Collaborative Operating Groups (COG)
- Verify connectivity with IPAWS (using the getAck function)
Please join us for one, several, or all of the webinars.
