Spring Flooding in Alaska
Communities in Alaska experienced unprecedented flooding this spring, and as a result, President Obama made a disaster declaration to provide FEMA assistance for areas affected. FEMA is striving to meet the unique needs of the area with tribal liasons, Disaster Survivor Assistance crews, flights in tiny planes to reach remote communities, boots, mosquito repellent, and more.
