WI Emergency Operations Center-Situation Report

 

Overview – County and local government agencies continue to assess the damage and aid residents in cleaning up damage following a series of storms which tracked across southern Wisconsin this week. The National Weather Service says additional showers and thunderstorms will move through Wisconsin today and Saturday with dry conditions Sunday.

Flood Warnings continue for Crawford, Grant, Green, Jefferson, Kenosha and Rock Counties including:

Crawford County - WIS Highway 35 is closed in both directions from Lynxville to Prairie du Chien due to mud slides and debris. Also, WIS 61 is closed in both directions from WIS 60 to Boscobel because of a mudslide on roadway.

Dane County – City of Middleton declared a state of emergency as of June 26th due to flooding and severe weather damage.

Grant County – Recovery efforts continue.

Richland County – WIS Highway 60 is closed in both directions between Muscoda and Gotham because of flooding. The detour for eastbound traffic is: north on WIS 80 to US 14, south on US 14 back to WIS 60. Reverse those directions for westbound traffic.

Rock County – Crews shut off natural gas to two homes in Beloit due to the Turtle Creek flooding.

Stockbridge-Munsee Tribe - Community experienced major damage to tribal offices as a tree fell on the building. Roof damage, brick wall cracked and extensive water damage. Tribal offices cannot be used as concern over collapse so it remains closed to office workers and the public.
