Public Engagement Highlights: Update on the President’s Climate Change Announcement

Dear Friend,

We hope you were able to watch President Obama’s announcement today focused on tackling climate change. You can watch the video of the speech at: http://www.whitehouse.gov/

In the video, you will hear the President articulate three key pillars in his plan to cut carbon pollution that causes climate change and affects public health: 1) Cut Carbon Pollution in America, 2) Prepare the US for the Impacts of Climate Change, and 3) Lead International Efforts to Combat Global Climate Change and Prepare for its Impacts.

You can see the President’s plan at http://www.whitehouse.gov/share/climate-action-plan and to share the details to help make sure people in your community get the facts: http://www.whitehouse.gov/sites/default/files/image/president27sclimateactionplan.pdf

As you continue the conversation with your colleagues and organization’s membership, we ask that you share your voice on EPA’s Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/epa and @EPAgov on Twitter https://www.twitter.com/epagov by using the hashtags #ActOnClimate and #EPA.

As a valued EPA stakeholder, we thank you for all your efforts in expanding the conversation on environmentalism.
